What is the opportunity?

The State Housing Tax Credit Program allows Minnesota taxpayers (individuals and businesses) to accelerate growth of affordable housing through an exceptional 85% tax credit on dollars contributed to select developments.

In 2026, two of Aeon’s communities (below) will be a qualified State Housing Tax Credit project!


How do I QUALIFY?

  • Apply with Minnesota Housing and get accepted. During this process you will select where you’d like your contribution to go.

  • Donate between $1,000 and $2 million during the taxable year.

  • Receive a tax credit certificate from Minnesota Housing.

How do I CONTRUBUTE?

Applications to contribute to the 2026 State Housing Tax Credit Contribution Fund open on Tuesday, February 17, 2026! All details will be published as they become available at the link below.


2026 Qualifying Aeon Communities

Exodus

Minneapolis, Minnesota

Exodus will be both a renovation of an existing property and a new construction addition. It will be closing this fall and opening by spring of 2027. The community will provide permanent supportive housing in a total of 72 units available to community members transitioning out of homelessness with persistent mental and/or physical disabilities.

Goldenrod Glen

Big Lake, Minnesota

Goldenrod Glen is a brand new development that opened its doors to residents in early 2025. This community brought 74 affordable, senior (55+) homes to market featuring independent living, walking paths, community gardens, an energy-efficient design, and beautiful community rooms.
