Connie’s Story

Follow Us for Updates

Connie was the first to move into our newest community – Goldenrod Glen! After going through a divorce, Connie moved in with her daughter while searching for a place of her own. She was repeatedly turned away simply because she couldn’t afford rent. Just as Connie was losing hope, Aeon called her and accepted her application.

Before cutting the ribbon at the Goldenrod Glen Grand Opening event Connie shared a poem about the power of belonging and having pride in where you live.

“Let me tell you about a building I know. Goldenrod Glen, it’s a place to show…Friendships are formed in this little community place. Games, lunches and outings, with a friendly face. So y’all come and join us, it’s our own little town. Call and make an appointment…we’ll show you around.” – Connie
