Our Village in Action

The story of Aeon in 2025

This year, we’re looking back on the moments, milestones, and people who shaped Aeon’s story in 2025. Behind every new home, every resident success, and every community we strengthen, there are countless hands and hearts at work. From residents who inspire us with their resilience, to staff who go above and beyond, to donors, partners, and sponsors who make our mission possible—we are celebrating the village that makes home possible.

Together, these stories remind us that lasting impact doesn’t happen alone. It happens when we come together to ensure everyone has a place to call home.

Community Grand Opening

We celebrated the opening of Goldenrod Glen in Big Lake, MN with community leaders, corporate sponsors, service partners, and residents! This new development brings 74 affordable, senior homes to market.

Celebrating Resident Voices

Longtime Aeon resident and current board member Rick shared his story of growth, leadership, and community. After moving into his Aeon home 13 years ago, Rick found more than housing—he found purpose, connection, and a place to thrive.

Cultivating Community Pride

Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to refresh our community’s landscaping, pulling weeds, planting flowers, and tending to outdoor spaces that welcome residents home. These touches create inviting places for residents to take pride in their home.

Full Circle of Home

After moving into his Aeon apartment years ago following homelessness, John now serves as the maintenance technician in that very same building. Having once walked in his neighbors’ shoes, he brings deep care and dedication to his work.

Moving Resident Resilience

Z, an Aeon youth resident, spoke at this year’s Beyond Bricks & Mortar, sharing his story of growth and resilience. Aeon’s partnership with the YMCA has allowed Z to find stability, support, and opportunities to thrive at home, work, and school.

Engaging Lifelong Learners

A group of Aeon senior residents explored history through a free Community Access course at the U of M, connected by their Resident Connections Coordinator. Residents like Steve embraced new insights and meaningful discussions.

Sponsors Support Families

At an event organized by Resident Connections, children eagerly received new backpacks donated by a corporate partner. The backpacks helped set students up for success and brought excitement to families as they prepared for the school year.

Neighbors Gather Together

Every August, Aeon communities gather for National Night Out, enjoying food, games, and fellowship. Residents, staff, and volunteers connect, build trust, and celebrate the sense of belonging that makes Aeon communities feel like home.
