At Aeon, we believe learning has no age limit—and this summer, our residents of all ages discovered new opportunities to grow, connect, and explore.
Lifelong Learning at the University of Minnesota
A group of Aeon senior residents stepped into the classroom at the University of Minnesota through a free Community Access course that Aeon’s Resident Connections Coordinator, Mary Ann, helped connect them with.
The class explored the Civil Rights and Black Power Movement, inviting residents to reflect on history while connecting it to their own lived experiences. Discussions sparked personal memories, thoughtful conversations, and new insights about how the movement’s impact continues today.
One resident, Steve, proudly showed off his U of M ID card—a small but powerful symbol of curiosity, courage, and the joy of lifelong learning.

Exploring the Outdoors at Summer Camp
Meanwhile, Aeon’s younger residents had an adventure of their own. Thanks to our partnership with Three Rivers Parks, students in grades 2–5 attended Explorer Camp for a week of outdoor fun.
Campers played games, discovered nature, and built friendships that stretched beyond the week. For many an opportunity to build curiosity and creating summer memories that will last far beyond the season.

Learning at Every Stage of Life
From university classrooms to nature trails, Aeon residents embraced the joy of learning this summer. Whether it was seniors expanding their understanding of history or children discovering the wonders of the natural world, these experiences highlight how community partnerships open doors for growth at every stage of life.
At Aeon, we’re proud to walk alongside residents as they learn, explore, and thrive—because creating home is about more than housing. It’s about opportunities to grow together.
